Hyderabad: Food delivery and e-commerce services will continue in Telangana from today. DGP Mahendra Reddy clarified that those performing essential services will not be stopped. In this regard, orders have been issued to Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Racha Konda Commissioners Police. When the lockdown was strictly enforced in Hyderabad yesterday, the food delivery boys were stopped at some places and their vehicles were confiscated and heavy challans were issued. The matter was brought to the notice of Minister KTR. He tweeted that essential services should not be disrupted. He said that this issue would be resolved by talking to the DGP. The DGP issued new instructions along with the KTR directive. The DGP explained that steps would be taken to ensure uninterrupted supply of food and e-commerce services. It should be noted that Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi had strongly objected to stopping the food delivery boys.
